Mirror collects only the minimal data necessary to power your personal financial digital twin and provide predictive simulations:
Target milestones, savings goals, monthly spending categories, budget parameters, and what-if simulation scenarios you input into the app.
Photographs of paper receipts that you explicitly take using the in-app scanner to parse expense totals, dates, and merchant line items.
Name and email address when you create a profile or log in. You can also explore Mirror freely in Guest / Local mode without registering.
Anonymous crash reports, Android OS version, and device performance metrics to maintain stability and prevent crashes.
In strict adherence to Google Play Developer Policy and Android Best Practices, we declare every system permission requested by Mirror:
Purpose: Used solely when you tap the Camera Scanner button to capture an image of a physical store receipt or invoice for instant expense logging.
Assurance: The camera is NEVER accessed in the background, never records video silently, and does not capture any biometric facial data.
Purpose: Delivers proactive financial alerts, streak milestone reminders, timeline deviation notices, and weekly digital twin check-ins.
User Control: You can enable, disable, or adjust notification frequency at any time via Android App Settings or the in-app preferences panel.
Purpose: Allows the app to connect to online services, including AI providers, when you use network features. Connections use HTTPS where supported by the service. The app does not implement certificate pinning, and account data synchronization is not currently available in the Android app.
Purpose: Provides subtle haptic feedback during interactive gesture navigation, opportunity swipe actions, and milestone celebrations.
Mirror leverages Google Gemini AI models to power your Financial Digital Twin, interpret receipt text, generate timeline scenarios, and provide conversational financial coaching.
Financial records entered in the Android app are stored locally in the app's Room database. The Android app does not currently encrypt this database with AES-256 or another app-level database encryption layer. Protect your device with its screen lock and keep Android up to date. Information sent to AI or other online services leaves the device and is handled under those providers' terms and privacy practices.
We never sell your data. We only exchange minimal necessary data with verified infrastructure partners who comply with strict confidentiality standards:
